Dark colour with hints of ruby, nose revealing notes of ripe red fruit. Slight liquoriceness.
Superb harvests for this wine with grapes rich in colour and flavour.
Soil
clay-silt
Grape varieties
% Merlot; 20% Cabernet Sauvignon; 10% Cabernet Franc
Vinification
Traditional vinification with temperature control. This wine was aged in French oak for twelve months with 30% new barrels. Final blending without fining but light filtration before bottling.
Drinking
Very supple and well balanced, with a subtle woodiness, essential in my opinion, that does not mask the other flavours. This wine may be opened now for lovers of fruity wines, but deserves to be kept another two or three years.
